This filter adapter can be used in place of the older GWF filter. To do this, you will need to order the filter separately (#WG03F00835) or this new style filter can be ordered in a kit with the adapter as part #FXRC.

This adapter attaches to the top of the filter. It is reusable, so there is no need to replace it the next time you replace the filter. The GE WG03F00413 ADAPTER and WG03F00835 MWF filter will require more room (about 1-2 inches) than your existing filter.
