This water filter cartridge reduces lead, chlorine, asbestos, mercury, cysts, particulates, turbidity, industrial chemicals, and some pesticides, without removing fluoride. It improves the taste and odour of your water and ice. The Whirlpool EveryDrop EDR5RXD1B Ice and Water Filtration System is tested and certified by NSF International to meet or exceed NSF/ANSI Standards 42 and 53. The Filter #5 is also tested and certified to filter trace pharmaceuticals including atenolol, trimethoprim, and estrone.

This Refrigerator Water Filter is used in Side-by-Side and Bottom Freezer Refrigerators. In side-by-side refrigerators it can be found in the fresh food compartment, near top right hand corner. In bottom freezer refrigerators it can be found in the bottom left hand corner of the fresh food compartment.
